As a homeowner and resident of Grove Park, he will also be building a financial literacy program this upcoming year, as well as serving with Shalom City Church and other partners throughout the neighborhood. Follow Taylor at TaylorPruitt.Restorelife.net. Taylor was born and raised in a family of four, just an hour northeast of Grove Park in Cumming, GA. Growing up, he played sports year-round and was bred to be a huge fan of every Atlanta sports team. With Georgia Tech football in the fall and Braves games in the summer, the city of Atlanta has been an exciting and special place since childhood. As he began his college career studying Finance at Georgia Tech in 2011, he noticed how his passion for the city began shifting, less about sports (even though he still loves sports), and more towards the city’s marginalized and forgotten. It was the people standing outside the stadiums that began capturing his heart, not just the game going on inside. Finishing his degree from Georgia Tech in 2015, Taylor knew that corporate America was not his immediate path. Throughout college, there was this underlying dream of being part of a non-profit organization and seeing real transformation happen in people’s lives across the local community. When he met Danny Iverson and heard the Restore Life vision, he was all-in. His passions for people, inner-city Atlanta, and finance were all coming together in one place, and the decision was pretty simple. Taylor has been enjoying his new home and neighbors as he shares life and serves others each day.
