Follow him at hammondmcever.restorelife.net. Hammond grew up in the Atlanta area. He attended The Lovett School and afterwards went to Washington and Lee for college. Hammond began to take an interest in community service and social action in college where he served with the Nabors Service League. Hammond graduated in 2009 with B.A. in Political Science and afterwards worked with a campus ministry. This was a formative experience for him and led to a decision to work with at risk inner-city youth in South Dallas in 2011. Since that time Hammond has lived in the inner city, working with youth, helping them to escape poverty and moral compromise. In June of 2016 Hammond moved to Grove Park neighborhood and began work with Restore Life to start an inner-city mentorship program. The vision of this program is to build bridges from all over Atlanta into Grove Park for the purpose of mentoring inner-city youth. In 2019 Hammond, in partnership with Next Generation Foundation, launched Thrive Academy.
