Danny leads Restore Life alongside his partner Clarence (St. Claire) Adams. He lives in the Stone Mountain community with his wife and nine children. Danny grew up as expatriate in Chiba, Japan, is the oldest of nine, speaks Japanese and loves sushi, anime and anything Asian. After finishing High School, Danny attended James Madison University and studied business and music industry. After leading multiple start ups and advancing in the business world, he entered the non-profit sector, obtained his masters, and has been leading organizations focused on holistic community development that restores human dignity. He began his community development work in Newark, New Jersey, and has served on numerous boards and committees in the city with Mayor (now senator) Cory Booker and councilman Augusto Amador. In 2013, Danny and his family moved to Atlanta to do community development in the Bankhead community. Over the last 16 years Danny has specialized in reaching children, teens, gang members, drug addicts, and the homeless and marginalized of society, and recently has begun teaching and empowering other leaders in Atlanta through his experiences and expertise. Danny believes that flourishing in marginalized communities is contingent upon cross-sector organizations choosing to collaborate instead of compete. He has helped re-tooled Restore Life since 2015 to become a collective impact organization in Atlanta that is equipping other leaders to effectively partner and work together for the sake of dignified housing, job development and flourishing families.
